Conventional Wire and Batten Fencing

In our rural fencing range, conventional wire and batten fences are the most common to contain livestock.

Generally 8 or 7 wire, 5 battens per section, no1 posts, post spacing between 3.6m – 4m, 2.7m strainer posts no1 or no2, stay posts planed and chiselled in using half rounds as stay blocks, low posts footed correctly, wires strained and crimped off.

Other options include sheep netting, electric or barbed wires added and incorporated into the fence for additional livestock deterrents.
